Yoga with Jalila at The Well at Oxon Run

Join DC Greens every Saturday for yoga at The Well at Oxon Run, led by Jalila Williams!

Jalila returns to The Well at Oxon Run for her third season, providing 1-hour yoga classes every Saturday from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. This yoga class is an entry-level class and set at a pace for all to enjoy. Jalila will provide accommodations and adjustments where needed for those who may want to ease into the yoga experience! Classes are held outside, so come prepared with a water bottle, yoga mat, and some bug spray! Note: Classes are open to all but are geared toward ages 16 and up.

Jalila Williams is a Yoga practitioner, former art and figure model, singer, and artist with Rwandan ancestry who shares her evolutional journey as a black woman creating a fulfilling life around the world. Gwiza (gwee-zah), which is part of her late mother’s name, is Kinyarwanda for abundant. Jalila has been traveling for over 20 years, solo traveling for nearly a decade, and has lived abroad twice. She has also curated creative community events in Washington, D.C. and once in Thailand. Solo traveling has helped build more self-confidence, increase independence, and broaden her social circle to a global one. It has also earned her profound knowledge & perspective about cultural dynamics and societal influence.
