Fung-damentals: Cloning Fruiting Bodies

September 26 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Graphic of golden mushrooms

It’s mushroom time!

Learn the “fung”-damentals of cloning mushrooms, a simple and natural process of keeping and storing fungal cells to utilize them at later times! The concept is very akin to Pokemon: search the tall grass for a specimen, cast your Pokeball (petridish), and build a library (party) of your favorite finds!

These methods can also be applied to store-bought fungi, which opens plenty of opportunity to practice without foraging. We will be walking through and demonstrating all necessary steps required to maintain consistent results! Be prepared for a hands-on experience!

This event is open to participants ages 12 and up. Youth 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or an adult 25+.

To attend this event, please register via our volunteer portal, VolunteerHub. This will require creating an account on VolunteerHub first. If you need assistance, please email us at thewell@dcgreens.org.
