Meet the Bees: Honey Harvest Experience

It’s all about the honey…
Celebrate the sweetest reward of the beekeeping season with an immersive look at how honey is made, ripened, and ready for harvest. Through the observation hive, participants will spot nectar-filled cells and watch bees fan and cap honey in real time, paired with a discussion on how beekeepers identify when honey is truly harvest-ready. A capped honey frame pulled from a managed hive brings the full process into focus before the most anticipated part of the day — the Honey Jar Station.
Participants will taste honey, fill their own 2oz mini jar from a pre-extracted source, then label and decorate it to take home as a sweet reminder of the experience.
This class is free and open to ages 8+. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Registration is required.
