Prepared to Picked: A Hands-On Workshop with Nyame Kua Farm Collective

Learn the art and science of pickling in this fun, two-hour session!
Go from fresh produce to sealed jars, guided by an expert instructor every step of the way! From prepping veggies and mixing brine to packing jars and water-bath canning, you’ll learn key pickling skills. These include the difference between vinegar pickling and fermentation; safe, shelf-stable techniques; and how to customize flavors with spices, herbs, and creative add-ins.
And, you’ll leave with a pint of your own pickles! All supplies are provided, and you’ll receive the skills needed to preserve your harvest and reduce food waste at home. This class is perfect for beginners and pickle lovers alike. Roll up your sleeves and get Prepared to Pickle!
This class is free and open to participants of all ages. Adults 17 and young must be accompanied by an adult 25+.
