Soul Sessions Exchange: Teacher Appreciation & Young Professionals Mixer is a community-centered event honoring educators while creating space for young professionals, civic leaders, and entrepreneurs to connect around Ward 8’s future. Led by the Soul of the City Business Improvement District, the event activates neighborhood space across Congress Heights, Bellevue, and Washington Highlands in partnership with The Well at Oxon Run, DC Greens, Congress Heights Main Streets, and Great Streets. Teachers are recognized not just as classroom professionals, but as community stabilizers, youth advocates, and cultural anchors — especially vital in historically underserved communities. DC Greens will also host an Evening Harvest on site, where attendees can pick up fresh produce to take home.

Come celebrate, connect, and leave with fresh food — featuring live music, food, young professional networking, and community connection.

This event is free and open to the public. Children 17 or younger are welcome with a parent/guardian or with an adult 25 or older.
