Fung-damentals: Mushroom Growing 101

Fruiting season never ends with fungi!
Learn how to grow your own mushrooms indoors, no matter the space or season! This is especially relevant as we come to the tail-end of plant harvesting season, since fungi can provide basic and complex nutrients such as protein, vitamin D, and other high-value nourishment well into winter.
Whether you’d want to fruit mushrooms outdoors by switching to a cold-resistant species when winter hits, or grow from bags or buckets in the warmer indoors, this is the class for you! Fungi are a versatile tool that can enrich any lifestyle!
This event is open to participants ages 16 and up. Youth 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or an adult 25+.
To attend this event, please register via our volunteer portal, VolunteerHub. This will require creating an account on VolunteerHub first. If you need assistance, please email us at thewell@dcgreens.org.
