It’s an honor to share that on Wednesday, March 13, our Produce Rx team, alongside our incredible partners at Bread for the City, was awarded the John Benjamin Nichols Award by the Medical Society of the District of Columbia! 

The John Benjamin Nichols Awards is given to people or organizations for outstanding contributions toward improving the health of the community.

DC Greens counts it a privilege to bring this transformative produce prescription program to D.C. residents, and we couldn’t be luckier to do this work with such an amazing clinic partner. Our hope is that critical Food Is Medicine interventions like Produce Rx can one day be embedded into our healthcare city wide!
