(she/her) is a Produce Rx Coordinator for DC Greens. Since 2018, Moppett has been dedicated to advancing the Food Is Medicine movement throughout D.C. and its surrounding neighborhoods. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Spanish from James Madison University, and her passion for Food Is Medicine ignited during a Food Politics class in her final year of studies.
Connecting community members with fresh produce is a top priority for Moppett, especially after recognizing the profound connection between our diet and health. One of her most significant achievements is organizing the distribution of emergency USDA produce boxes to more than 1,000 people in a single day during the height of the pandemic. Moppett is thrilled to continue this impactful work at DC Greens alongside her phenomenal colleagues.
