Thank you for your interest in becoming a part of the DC food movement! There are a variety of ways to get involved with our mission of connecting communities to healthy food in the nation’s capital.

Cooking Corps – Lead cooking demos in 3rd-8th grade classrooms city-wide. Internships are 15 hours/week for the fall and spring semesters.

School Garden Army – Work with a school garden to support outdoor education. Internships are 10-15 hours/week for the academic year or summer.

Farmers’ Market Brigade – Support healthy food access for all! Volunteers will attend one training and at least 5 market days from June through November.

Urban Farm Work – Help us grow healthy, local food! Join us for open hours at the K St. Farm on Sundays, 10-4 from May through November.

Rooting DC – Lend a hand at this annual urban gardening conference that draws over 1,200 DC residents each winter (February or March).
