Food Policy

DC Greens works to generate a city-wide expectation that food access and education is a priority for the District of Columbia. One way we do this is by building pathways for leadership, ownership and decision-making for those most impacted by inequalities in our food system. Learn more about our Community Advocates program.

Our advocacy efforts support the sector’s work on the ground. We have been engaged with the passage of the DC Healthy Schools Act; the DC Healthy Tots Act; the DC Food Policy Council and Director Act; the Urban Farming and Food Security Act; and the upcoming Healthy Students Amendment Act.
